THERAPY FOR BLACK WOMEN IN MEMPHIS, NASHVILLE, & ACROSS TENNESSEE

Tired of Being the Strong One?
I see you.

You weren’t meant to carry it all. Let’s undo the hustle, the silence, the exhaustion—together.

I help Black women like you stop surviving and start healing.

You’ve been holding it down for everybody—at work, at home, in your community. But no one sees how tired you are.

That cape you’ve been wearing? It’s heavy.

This work is about unlearning the Strong Black Woman lie—so you can feel again, rest without guilt, and reclaim your peace.

Let’s keep it real.

  • You’re the one everyone turns to, but you’re running on fumes.

  • You know how to perform “okay,” even when you're unraveling inside.

  • You haven’t rested in years—and when you try, the guilt creeps in.

  • You’re over it. Over the pressure. Over the silence. Over always being the dependable one.

You’ve been strong for everybody else. Now it’s your turn.

Hi, I’m Dr. Cecily Moore.

I help Black women across Tennessee unlearn survival mode and break up with the Strong Black Woman identity—for good.

I’m not here to help you “manage stress” or “cope.” I’m here to help you heal.

My therapy style is trauma-informed and culturally grounded.

We’ll unpack the stories, the silence, the pressure, and the burnout—and build something softer, slower, and more sustainable.

This isn’t about weakness. It’s about wellness.

What happens when you unlearn the lie?

  • You stop proving yourself and start trusting yourself.

  • You rest without explaining a damn thing.

  • You say no without spiraling in guilt.

  • You feel—deeply, fully, and without apology.

You don’t owe the world your burnout.
You owe yourself a life that feels like yours.

You weren’t born strong. You were forced to be.

Taught to shrink your softness. Rewarded for suffering in silence.

It’s not your fault. But now is your time.

You get to heal. You get to rest. You get to want more.

This therapy isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about freeing you.
